1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website and services of The Douglas Indian Bar & Restaurant ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, or using any of our services — including the catering calculator, birthday club, or office lunch report — you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Definitions

• "Services" — dining, catering, event hosting, and the birthday club programme.
• "User" — any individual accessing our website or services.
• "Booking" — any reservation, catering order, or event booking made with us.

3. Bookings & Reservations

All bookings are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking at our discretion. By making a booking you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

For large parties (8 or more) we may require a deposit. Failure to attend without 24 hours' notice may result in the loss of your deposit. We will communicate any deposit requirement at the time of booking.

4. Catering Orders

Catering prices shown on our website and catering calculator are estimates and may vary based on final guest count, menu selections, dietary requirements, and delivery location. A formal quote will be provided before any order is confirmed.

• A 50% deposit is required to confirm catering bookings.
• Final guest counts must be confirmed no later than 72 hours before the event.
• Any increase in guest count within 72 hours is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
• Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event will receive a full refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations within 7 days of the event may forfeit the deposit.

5. Allergens & Dietary Requirements

While we take every care to accommodate dietary requirements, our kitchen handles all major allergens. Cross-contamination cannot be entirely eliminated. It is the responsibility of the User to inform us of any allergies or dietary needs at the time of booking. We do not accept liability for allergic reactions where allergen information was not disclosed to us in advance.

6. Pricing & Payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices without notice; confirmed bookings will be charged at the rate agreed at the time of booking. We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and bank transfer. For corporate accounts, invoice terms are available subject to prior arrangement and credit checks.

7. Birthday Inner Circle

Membership in the Birthday Inner Circle is free. Benefits include a complimentary birthday dessert, 20% off your birthday meal, and priority booking. The following conditions apply:

• Birthday offers are valid for 7 days either side of your registered birthday.
• The complimentary dessert is for the birthday member only and is non-transferable.
• The 20% discount applies to the birthday member's meal only.
• Offers cannot be combined with other promotions or set menus.
• We reserve the right to modify or withdraw birthday club benefits at any time.

8. Office Lunch Report

The 10-Point Office Lunch Checklist is provided free of charge for informational purposes only. The content does not constitute professional advice. By downloading the report you consent to being contacted by The Douglas regarding catering services. You may opt out of communications at any time.

9. Website Use

You agree to use our website lawfully and not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems.
• Use the website to transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code.
• Reproduce, copy, or distribute website content without our written permission.
